Popularly knows as "Iceman", Kimi Raikkonen displayed his best driving skills in 2005 at Japanese Grand Prix. Having qualified for the 17th position, making to the podium was not at all expected. It was a hectic start for him where Montoya and Villeneuve had a collision and safety cars were brought but the Finn started managing his way by then.

Having made a pit stop amidst the race, Raikkonen appeared at the 5th place ahead of Alonso before passing Schumacher into 4th. Webber and Jenson Button had to stop for refueling and he took advantage by promoting himself on 3rd place. Actions which followed next can be only called as sheer brilliance on Raikkonen's part.

With just 9 laps remaining, he set the fastest lap every time and despite some great driving by Fisichella, Iceman pulled off the great victory and greatest comeback Suzuka had ever witnessed.
