F1 Turkey GP: Constructors Championship closed to one point!

It was McLaren all the way yesterday. God was happy with the McLaren team yesterday as both the drivers of McLaren finished 1-2 on the podium. Lewis Hamilton finished first on the podium whilst, Jenson Button finished second. Red Bull wasn’t far behind as Mark Webber finished third.

However, this race was in the bag for the Red Bull driver. Lewis Hamilton was second on the grid and his poor stop in the pit lane pushed him to the third place in the race. But, as luck always favors the brave. Due to co-racer Sebastian Vettel’s aggressive driving; the two Red Bull drivers had a collision in the middle of the race. This pushed the leader of the race Mark Webber to the number three spot. The British driver Lewis Hamilton wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass, so he sealed the opportunity and took the lead in the race. This collision went on to gain another major advantage for the McLaren team as team mate Jenson Button moved on to the number two spot in the race. With both the McLaren drivers coming on the podium the Red Bull drivers gifted away 48 easy points to the men in black and silver and their team.

The constructors standing of the teams now read: McLaren – 172 points.Red Bull – 171 points.Ferrari – 146 points.

Drivers ranking: Mark Webber – 93 points.Jenson Button – 88 points.Lewis Hamilton – 84 points.

With lot more races in the bag and with a difference of just a few points between the drivers and their teams. Another couple of wins by any driver could change the fate. Hoping that the competition remains intriguing and enthralling here’s wishing all the drivers all the best.
