Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali has said that Felipe Massa won’t be disciplined for ignoring team orders in the Japanese Grand Prix.
Massa, who was running ahead of team-mate Fernando Alonso in the early stages of the race, was told to allow Alonso pass through the team radio. But the Brazilian who will leave the team after this season opted to ignore the orders and continue racing.
“No not really,” Domenicali told when asked if it was an issue.
“To be honest with you we brought home today what was the maximum and there is no point in creating something around these things as there are other things that we need to focus on to try and improve the car up to the end of the championship,” he added.
Alonso, who eventually finished above Massa, said that there are no problems between him and his outgoing team-mate.
“We cannot make a big thing out of it. We are racing and whatever we did we would have finished in the same position because we could not achieve anything more. I don’t know exactly what happened, but there are zero problems,” Alonso said.
