FIA to revise rules for presidential election

The FIA is all set to revise the presidential election system after the governing body admitted that the current system is confusing.

The rules earlier demanded the candidates to have a cabinet list of 17 members but with the election to be held on December 6th between Jean Todt and David Ward, the FIA has withdrawn the election rules which said the candidates to submit mobility vice-president candidates in the 17 member cabinet.

Instead the body suggested that the candidate should only need to have the president, president of the senate, deputy president of mobility, deputy president for sport and seven vice-presidents for sport on their list.

Meanwhile, David Ward suggested that the list should be made more alterations before the election.

“This would follow the precedent already used for the vice presidents for mobility who are elected by their regions independently. This approach is much simpler, more democratic and accountable,” he said
