The F1 fraternity expressed their delight after hearing about Michael Schumacher coming out of coma.

The record seven time F1 champion was in the Intensive care unit in coma for the last six months ever since his skiing accident in the Alpine resort of Meribel, but news broke out that he was out of coma and would now be continuing his rehabilitation in an undisclosed location.

His former team Ferrari with whom he tasted the majority of his success was one of the teams who immediately took to twitter to wish him for his recovery.

The current Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso also took to social media to wish Schumi.

British driver Lewis Hamilton said that he was encouraged by this news. “ It’s amazing news, everywhere I go people ask about him, whether it’s in the United States or Canada. I always keep him in my thoughts and prayers. It’s a real positive to hear that there has been some progress.”

Fellow German driver and current leader of the drivers standings, Nico Rosberg joined other F1 stars to express his happiness over Schumi’s improved state.

Mercedes who will be always be remembered by Schumi’s fans for being the last team the legend competed for also welcomed the good news.

Meanwhile, German forward Lukas Podolski dedicated his team’s 4-0 win over Portugal to the F1 legend and hopes his team can go all the way to dedicate the trophy to him.
