Formula One teams have expressed their concern over the long 22-race calendar for 2014 season and admitted that they are expecting the calendar to be trimmed.
Red Bull boss Christian Horner said that the teams would have a tough time to adapt to the travelling circuits over the season.
“I think we all recognise that 22 races is beyond the limit. Let’s see the real calendar and then we’ll figure it out,” he said.
Meanwhile, the current deal between the teams and Bernie Ecclestone have set a cap of 20 races for a season and Ecclestone said that he also expects the calendar to be trimmed.
Force India’s team manager Andy Stevenson also revealed his concern about the issue.
“We’ll wait until the calendar has been ratified before we put any resource into understanding exactly how we will deal with it,” he said.
