
Gabriel Bortoleto is a Brazilian racing driver for Kick Sauber in Formula One. The current Formula Two champion is the first Brazilian to participate full-time in the sport since Felipe Massa in 2017. Born in Sao Paulo, Bortoleto began karting at seven and quickly began winning local titles, according to the official Formula 1 website.
Four years later, Bortoleto was headed to Europe, where he continued his karting success in international championships. After gaining experience in Italian Formula 4 and Formula Regional racing in 2021 and 2022, Bortoleto has since won races in nearly every category he has competed in. He also did well enough to be signed by Fernando Alonso's A14 management business. Bortoleto stepped up a notch with Alonso at his side, winning back-to-back F3 and F2 championships in 2023 and 2024, the latter of which featured an incredible comeback from last to first place in the Monza Feature Race.
