Is Lewis Hamilton not happy at McLaren?

Lewis Hamilton may have won the Italian Grand Prix but the post race celebrations indicated that he isn’t happy at Mclaren.

Also, when McLaren team Principal Martin Whitmarsh hugged Lewis Hamilton the world champion struggled to manage a smile and the embrace looked strained. Also, in the team photo Lewis Hamilton looked like an unhappy man as he was the only McLaren member without his fist aloft.

This view is also reflected by some emminent F1 Journalists.

“There appeared to be tension in the air,” said an observer, writing for the French news agency AFP.

Express journalist Bob McKenzie said: “Hamilton looked like a man who has the world on his shoulders rather than in front of him”.

In the build up to the Italian Grand Prix, Eddie Jordan fuelled the speculation that McLaren maybe going to Mercedes. This speculation was declined both by Mercedes and McLaren team but the signs indicate that Edddie maybe right.

Another proof which indicates that Hamilton may not be happy with McLaren is the words of one of McLaren’s staff.

One unnamed McLaren staffer told Der Spiegel at Monza: “We are extremely upset with him. He should go.”

So, is Lewis Hamilton on his way to Mercedes? If yes, then what happens to Michael Schumacher?

Recently David Croft of Sky F1 team speculated that Ferrari maybe interested in signing Schumacher to replace Felipe Massa. But, these are still unconfirmed rumours.

The situation will become more clear when Schumacher makes a decision in October.
