Japanese GP: Jenson Button fastest in second practice

Jenson Button – pace setter on Friday

Jenson button remained on top in Friday practice sessions as he tops the 2nd free practice at the Japanese GP; Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso clocked the second best time just 0.02 seconds ahead of Sebastian Vettel. Red Bull’s Mark Webber set the time to go fourth fastest ahead of Brazilian Felipe Massa.

The two Mercedes’ of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg finished in 6^th and 7^th places with the time of 1 m 32:710 s and 1 m 32:982 s respectively. Lewis Hamilton was almost 1.3 s off the pace of team-mate Jenson Button and managed to clock 8^th best time ahead of the Russian Vitaly Petrov and Swiss Sebastien Buemi.

Force India’s Adrian Sutil finished 12^th fastest and was 1.9s off the Button’s pace while team-mate Paul di Resta managed to get 15th best time. HRT F1 team’s Australian rookie Daniel Ricciardo out-paced Team Lotus’ Jarno Trulli by 1s and team-mate Vitantonio Liuzzi by 3.7s to set 22^nd best time.
