Jules Bianchi, who currently drives for Marussia, is hopeful that he may receive a call from the former world champions Ferrari for a driver’s seat next year. Ferrari are reportedly looking for possible options to replace the outgoing Brazilian driver Felipe Massa.
The young French driver, who is also a part of Ferrari’s development programme has been impressive in his stint with Marussia.
“If the team[Ferrari] ever turns to me, it is because, in their opinion, I am ready to go to Maranello. We’ll see. Maybe I will be asked to join the team this winter. Of course, I will not say no,” Bianchi said.
However, Ferrari are not rushing things and experts feel that they may even go for a more experienced driver like Nico Hulkenberg of Sauber.
Bianchi is also keeping other options open including staying with his current team and going to some other team.
“If not[called up by Ferrari], and I spend another season with Marussia, or go to another team to gain more experience, that is also a good option,” Bianchi added.
