His performances and success in junior formulae garnered him significant titles and victories, winning the 2015 MSA Formula Championship, the 2016 Toyota Racing Series, and both the Eurocup and Northern European Formula Renault 2.0 championships. Norris won the 2017 FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He came second in the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship. As a member of the McLaren Young Driver Programme, Norris debuted for McLaren in 2019 alongside Carlos Sainz Jr. In the 2020 season, however, Norris quickly established himself as one of the sport's up-and-coming stars by securing his first podium at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and had his first pole position in the Russian Grand Prix in 2021. Miami Grand Prix 2024

Lando Norris secured his first-ever victory in the 2024 season at the Miami Grand Prix. The race was held at the Miami International Autodrome, a challenging circuit with super-fast straights and tricky corners. McLaren brought a significant upgrade package to the race, which was wonderfully used by Norris. Starting from the front row, Norris displayed exemplary race craft: tire wear was well managed, and holding off pressure from behind by following Red Bulls and Ferraris. Maintaining his composure in the final laps, especially while navigating through backmarkers, proved crucial. Norris first crossed the line for his maiden win of the season and an upbeat victory in front of an American crowd. This victory immediately put McLaren in contention for the championship and was a huge confidence booster for the young British driver.

Dutch Grand Prix 2024

Norris took his momentum forward at the Dutch Grand Prix at the Zandvoort Circuit. This is one of the most technically demanding tracks with a narrow layout and banked corners. The circuit also sees a lot of enthusiastic support for the home favorite, Max Verstappen. Norris started from the front row once again but highlighted his true skills in driving in wet conditions. It was a mix of rain and sunshine during the weekend, but tire management from Norris and clever pit strategy from Mclaren played more in his favor. The race was close between Norris, Verstappen, and Charles Leclerc as lead after lead was changing hands, but it was Norris who finished first ahead of Verstappen. It was his second win in the season by overtaking Verstappen in the last stage of the race. Now, this victory was especially telling in that it happened on the home turf of Verstappen, so kind of a defining moment in Norris's career.

Singapore Grand Prix 2024

Lando Norris's third victory came at the prestigious Singapore Grand Prix, which tests even the best of drivers to their absolute limit in terms of the heat and humidity and the very tight layout of the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The race is generally a test of endurance and focus in which Lando Norris delivered a near-perfect performance. Starting from pole position, Norris was always ahead in the race from the word go, giving himself a healthy gap from another racing driver. The Singapore Grand Prix is known for its notorious incidents and several safety car periods, and this event was no exception. A good pace by the British driver during the safety car periods and sharp restarts ensured he stayed out of trouble. The other top runners were struggling with overheating tires and mechanical issues, while Norris went calm and composed Singapore was not only the third victory for Norris in the season but also one of his more impressive win performances in one of the most physically demanding races of the year. He further solidified himself as a legitimate title contender at the end of 2024.
