Aston Martin is a British car manufacturer that competes in the world of Formula 1 racing. The team debuted in Formula 1 in the late 1950s. In 1959, at the Dutch Grand Prix, Aston Martin entered into the sport with drivers like Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori. However, their first F1 car, named DBR4, failed to score any points and finished last in the championship standings.
In 1960, the team introduced the successor to DBR4, DBR5, but failed to score any points. Finally, Aston Martin decided to leave F1 after the British Grand Prix. After 61 years of hiatus, Aston Martin returned to the paddock in 2021 after rebranding Racing Point F1. Sergio Pérez and Lance Stroll were the first two drivers for the 2021 season. Later on, Perez was replaced by Sebastian Vettel.
