The plans for a London Grand Prix have been officially put forward for consideration. Earlier, it was claimed that the plans were nothing more than a publicity stunt. However, Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has said that the fundamental plan is completely serious.
Four parties are in the running to take over the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 games. Formula One joins three football bidders ahead of the selection process. Ecclestone has said to be more than willing to front a large amount of the cost for a Londen Grand Prix.
Besides F1, Premier League’s West Ham United, League One club Leyton Orient, the UCFB College of Football Business are in the running and submitted a proposal.
