According to Autosport, Lotus have made their intentions for next season clear after the team snatched Ferrari’s aerodynamicist Nicolas Hennel.
Lotus, who recently lost James Allison and Kimi Raikkonen to Ferrari, will see the signing of Hennel as a vital boost for their technical department. Hennel previously had spells with Renault and McLaren before he moved to Ferrari last year.
Though Lotus is yet to make the official announcement of the deal, Autosport reported that Hennel will start his work next month in order to prepare early for the 2014 car.
The loss of Hennel will be a big blow for Ferrari who are also set to lose race engineer Rob Smedley, who is set to move to Williams in 2014.
