Marlboro McLarens

McLaren—Phoenix 1990 padock

The famous red-and-white Marlboro livery graced McLaren International’s cars from 1974, shortly after their origins in 1965 under founder Bruce McLaren, through a 1981 merger with Ron Dennis’ Project Four Racing organization and their complete domination of the 1988 F1 season, until EU tobacco advertising restrictions ended Marlboro’s sponsorship in 1996.
