Michael Schumacher, a seven-time Formula One World Champion, who suffered a serious head injury in a skiing accident in France remains in a critical but stable condition, two days after the grievous incident occurred.
Speaking to the reporters outside the hospital, his manager Sabine Kehm said: “The good news for today is… there’s no significant changes.”
She had earlier cleared the air regarding the rumours that it was over-speeding which resulted in the undesirable event by saying: “That does not mean that Michael was travelling at high speed. He was not too fast.”
The retired Formula One racing driver, who had the best of his years with Ferrari winning five consecutive championships from 2001 to 2004, had been skiing off-piste in the French Alps on Sunday while he fell and crashed his head against a rock.
Schumacher, who will turn 45 on January 3, was immediately airlifted to a hospital in Grenoble and was then operated to remove haematoma. He is now in a medically induced coma.
The German made a comeback with Mercedes in 2010, after initially retiring in 2006, which proved to be fruitless as he managed just a solitary podium finish in three seasons.
