Michael Schumacher, one of the best drivers in the history of F1 racing, made his debut in the year 1991. And since then, there has been no looking back for this legendary driver. He bagged seven world championship titles with 91 race wins before retiring in the year 2006. Michael indeed added a fourth dimension to the sport of formula 1. But retiring did not stop Michael from following the sport as he joined as team adviser at Ferrari.

It was not until Ferrari driver, Filipe Massa was injured in the 2009 season that we first heard rumors of the legend returning to the track. And he indeed made his way back to the sport he loved. Michael began his second stint in F1 as a race driver for Mercedes GP racing.

But the plan did not work out as he would have wished for. In his comeback year, he retired from five races and the best he could achieve was fourth place. Many said that he was out of touch since he has been racing for nearly three years now. However, in the current season he did manage to secure a podium finish in European grand Prix, but only half way through the race, Michael was forced to retire six times out of 11 races.

I personally have been a huge fan of Michael Schumacher and it is not right on our part to question his legacy. But his comeback has certainly upset the millions of fans around the globe. This question begs for an answer: ” IS MICHAEL’S DECISION OF RETURNING TO F1 CORRECT?”.

Michael Schumacher is a legend in the sport and he will remain always. But his failure to make the most of it will surely be a blotch on his Glorious F1 career.
