Michael Schumacher is a German racing driver born on January 3, 1969, in Hurth, Germany. He competed in Formula 1 from 1991 to 2006 and again in 2010-2012 for Jordan, Benetton, Ferrari, and Mercedes. Schumacher won a joint-record seven World Championships - two titles in a row in 1994 and 1995 with Benetton and five titles consecutively from 2000 to 2004 with Ferrari.

Schumacher began his motorsports career at six by winning a karting championship. He moved to Formula 1 with team Jordan in 1991 then to team Benetton, for whom he won titles consecutively from 1994 to 1995. When Schumacher joined Ferrari in 1996 he transformed the struggling team into a powerhouse and dominated the Formula 1 scene by winning five consecutive championships. He retired in 2006 but signed again with Mercedes to drive from 2010 until his retirement in 2012.
