Former Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton's ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger was surprised by American popstar Christina Aguilera on her Broadway show. The Hawaiian singer had dated the seven-time F1 world champion from 2008 to 2015 and was an integral part of his life.
The Pussycat Dolls singer has made a foray into acting as she has been playing Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Sunset Boulevard" on Broadway.
During one of her shows, she was surprised by former Mickey Mouse Club member and pop sensation, Christina Aguilera (who is worth $160M as per Celebrity Net Worth), and took to her social media to post a series of images with her on Instagram, saying:
"When @xtina surprises you at your show, you’re covered in blood and she still makes you “feel beautiful, no matter what they say”🩸✨
"I’ve come a long way from opening up on tour for you w/ @pussycatdolls back in the day 🥹 Thank you so much for the love 👑 and for not being afraid to get “a little dirty” from all the blood in your gorgeous hair sis."
During their seven-year on-off relationship with Hamilton, the latter won two titles in 2008 and 2014 with McLaren and Mercedes respectively. However, the couple broke up in the summer of 2015 with Scherzinger going on to date tennis star Grigor Dimitrov. She is currently engaged to Rugby player Thom Evans, while Hamilton chose to keep his private life away from the public post the relationship.
When an F1 insider revealed how Lewis Hamilton's relationship with Nicole Scherzinger affected his performances
F1 Insider and former McLaren mechanic Mark Priestley previously stated that Lewis Hamilton was affected by his private life on track which contributed to his performances.
Speaking with Express about his book 'The Mechanic: The Secret Life of the F1 Pit Lane', Priestley claimed that when Lewis Hamilton was happy, he performed his best, saying:
"When he was going out with Nicole Scherzinger, the stuff that was going on in his private life undoubtedly affected his performance in the race car. Those two had a very on-off relationship at times, particularly after he left McLaren and went to Mercedes."
"Lots of my colleagues and friends [at Mercedes] said to me in those first few years at Mercedes it felt like there was more effort being put into keeping Lewis and Nicole together than anything with the car because when Lewis was happy in his personal life, he was focused and on top form. You saw results off the back of that," he added.
He further believed that when the couple had taken an off from their relationship, people could "quite clearly trace those moments to terrible weekends in a Formula 1 car.”
Since Lewis Hamilton kept his off-track relationship away from the public eye, it remained unclear if he dated anyone post his courtship with Scherzinger.
