F1 will return to host the annual Austrian Grand Prix this weekend at the Red Bull Ring for the 11th race of the 2024 season. The track will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of its return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2014.
The Red Bull Ring has been a mainstay on the calendar and is one of the most important races in the European swing as most teams tend to bring upgrades to the track.
The 2024 edition is set to be yet another enticing race weekend with four teams promising to be strong contenders for the pole position and the victory. It will also be the third Sprint weekend of the six in the 2024 season. The track hosted Sprints in the previous two seasons as well.

Max Verstappen urges Red Bull for greater performance ahead of the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen and Red Bull have been the dominant pair at the Red Bull Ring having won at the track owned by the Austrian team five times and winning the Austrian Grand Prix four times, with one win in the Styrian GP.
Despite the duo leading both Championships in the 2024 season as well, the three-time world champion urged the Milton-Keynes outfit to push for more performance. As per Motorsport.com, Verstappen said:
"I have been saying for weeks that we need to bring more performance to our car and everyone in the team knows that as well. So far, it looks like everyone around us is bringing more updates than we do. Of course, we have to work on that, we find more performance for our own car as well. At the moment we just lack some speed."
Verstappen claimed that he has been compensating for the RB20's lack of performance in the last couple of races but added:
"That's fine too and that's what I'm paid for, but at the end of the day, we have to find more performance to win the Championship again. If you have to drive at 101% every single time, then of course it will go wrong one day."
Heading to the Austrian Grand Prix, Red Bull have a lead of 60 points in the Constructors' Championship over Ferrari in P2 and and of 93 points over McLaren, who sit in P3.
