The Belgian GP will be the last race before the summer break in August. Hence, several teams have brought their last set of upgrades before the holidays.
The previous race, the Hungarian GP was a fascinating event to witness despite fewer overtakes, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton engaging in a fierce battle for P3. Ultimately, the Red Bull driver ended up in P5 after an accident with the seven-time world champion, who managed to secure another podium for Mercedes.
With the fastest vehicle on the field, McLaren had the luxury of finishing 1-2 at Hungaroring, but their front-row finish was marred by some dubious strategic choices. They had to have Lando Norris trade places with Oscar Piastri in order for the Australian to win since they called him for his pit stop before Piastri. As a result, the 23-year-old won his very first F1 race.
As the F1 circus arrives at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the 2024 F1 Belgian GP on Sunday, 28 July, here are all the upgrades that teams have brought for the race.
2024 F1 Belgian GP: List of upgrades

- Diffuser (Performance)
- Floor Edge (Performance)
- Beam Wing (Performance)
- Front Wing (Circuit Specific)

Mercedes are aiming to continue their recent boost in performance by bringing yet another major upgrade package to the Belgian GP. All the new parts introduced aim to alter the airflow and drag around the car to make it faster in the future and also around Spa.
Ferrari
- Front Wing (Circuit Specific)
- Rear Wing (Circuit Specific)
At the start of the European leg of races, Ferrari experienced a dip in performance with both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz struggling to fight for a race win against McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull. McLaren currently has one of the fastest cars and can directly challenge Red Bull for race wins in the European leg of races. They enjoyed a 1-2 podium finish in Hungary and are aiming to continue the same form at the Belgian GP.
For the race at Spa, McLaren have brought a lower downforce rear wing, an offloaded beam wing to work with the rear wing, and a low-drag rear brake duct.

They have brought new front wings, rear wings and floor fences to improve airflow and produce low-drag scenarios for Spa. Moreover, a new redesigned beam wing is introduced as a reliability part. They also came up with new mirrors with a different geometry.
