F1 will head to one of the most iconic motorsport venues in the world to host the Belgian Grand Prix as the 14th and final race before the summer break of the 2024 season. It has been an exciting year so far for the sport as seven different drivers from the top four teams have won in the first 13 races.

There are many talking points heading to Spa-Francorchamps after an eventful weekend at the Hungarian GP. The race at the Hungaroring was proof that McLaren are now the fastest car with Max Verstappen's growing frustrations over world champions Red Bull's inability to develop the RB20.

The Belgian Grand Prix is a fan favorite due to the track layout and the presence of some iconic corners such as Eau Rouge, Poulon and the Bus Stop Chicane. It is also the longest track on the F1 calendar spanning over 7km.

Moreover, the presence of forest around the track gives the race a micro-climate making way for unpredictable weather. Here is the weather forecast for the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix this weekend (via GPFans):

Red Bull to make a call on Sergio Perez after Belgian Grand Prix

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko recently stated that they would make a call on Sergio Perez's future on the team after the Belgian Grand Prix. The Austrian said (via ViaPlay):

“I mean, in the end, everything is about performance, in every sport, and especially in Formula 1. So, I don’t want to go into any details of contracts or whatever. There will be a meeting after Spa. I told you, we will sit down after Spa and go through the whole problem."
"It’s a problem. Our staff gets bonuses only from where our position is in the Constructors’ Championship. So it’s a very important motivation factor. And yeah, Checo didn’t make too many points the last couple of races,” he added.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner too confirmed the same and added (via PlanetF1):

“Any discussions we have with him will of course take place internally and not in front of the media. But of course, we cannot run on one leg.”

Sergio Perez recently signed a contract extension with the reigning world champions that sees him race until the end of next year with an option to extend till 2026.
