After a four-week summer break, the F1 circus will return with the Dutch GP. The race in Zandvoort, scheduled for Sunday, August 25, will commence in the second half of the 2024 season.
F1 teams and drivers last raced against each other at the Belgian GP on July 28. Though Max Verstappen took pole position during qualifying, he started the Grand Prix from P11 due to a 10-place grid penalty for several changes to his power unit. Charles Leclerc started from pole position, kept the lead of the race for the first stint, but went back a few places after the first pitstops.
In the latter stages of the race, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton were in first and second positions, respectively. Russell did only one pitstop in the entire race and kept pushing forward to eventually win the race.
After the race, however, the FIA discovered that Russell's car was underweight by 1.5 kilos. Hence, he was disqualified. Second-placed Hamilton was declared the winner, with McLaren's Oscar Piastri securing second place and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finishing third.
Since the Belgian GP, there has been a long break in the world of F1. However, the sport is returning with the Dutch GP. Here is everything to know about the schedule and TV listings.
