Despite the 2024 F1 season coming to an end, teams continued to bring upgrades to their cars in the Las Vegas GP, the third-last race of the season. Since there are no major changes between 2024 and 2025 regulations, teams could also be using these upgrades for next year.
The season so far has been quite interesting, especially near the top of the grid. Red Bull, McLaren, and Ferrari have been fighting for the constructors' world championship, bringing stronger upgrades to squeeze marginal gains over each other. On the other hand, Max Verstappen faced stern competition from Lando Norris and other top drivers like Oscar Piastri, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz.
Amid all this, almost all teams have brought various upgrades to many Grand Prix, and Las Vegas is no different. Here is the list of all the upgrades each team brought to the Entertainment Capital of the World.
List of upgrades brought by teams for the 2024 F1 Las Vegas GP
Red Bull
- Front Wing (Circuit Specific)
- Floor Fences (Performance)
In 2024, Red Bull was massively challenged by McLaren and Ferrari. Furthermore, Sergio Perez was not able to contribute much to the constructors' battle. Hence, the reigning world champions are currently in third place with 544 points. Even in the Las Vegas GP, they continue to bring new parts not only for a specific circuit but for performance too.
They brought a new front wing with reduced camber and front wing flaps to better suit the Las Vegas track. The new floor fences bring better aerodynamic efficiency underneath the car.
Mercedes
- Front Wing (Circuit Specific)
Mercedes has been struggling to keep up with the top three teams Red Bull, McLaren, and Ferrari. With Lewis Hamilton leaving the team, they are heading into a major change from next year. The Silver Arrows only brought a new front wing with a revised trailing edge of the flap to better suit the track.
Ferrari
- Front Wing (Circuit Specific)
- Floor Fences (Performance)
- Floor Body (Performance)
- Floor Edge (Performance)
Ferrari brought one of the biggest upgrade packages to the Las Vegas GP. The Italian giants continue to push the boundaries and find more power from their cars in order to get ahead of McLaren and Red Bull.
The new front wing had a lower downforce flap design to fit the track. On the other hand, every new floor part was to improve aerodynamic efficiency underneath the car.
McLaren
- Front Wing (Circuit Specific)
The constructors' championship leaders only brought a new front wing to better suit the Las Vegas GP. Though Lando Norris is unable to catch Max Verstappen, the push from him and his teammate, Oscar Piastri, helped McLaren stay ahead of the pack with 593. As of now, their main title battle is with Ferrari, who are second in the standings with 557 points.
Aston Martin
- Front Wing (Circuit Specific)
Ever since the start of the 2023 F1 season, Aston Martin has seen a gradual decline in their performance. In 2024, they were unable to get back on top. Though the team is leading the midfield section of the table in fifth place, they are almost 300 points behind fourth-placed Mercedes.
Despite their struggles, the team only brought a new front wing for the Las Vegas GP track.
Alpine
- Front Corner (Performance)
Alpine is another team that struggled in 2024. Their season started extremely poorly as they were at the back of the grid. However, they gradually picked up the pace and battled in the midfield with the likes of Aston Martin, Haas, Racing Bulls, etc. Most recently, they enjoyed the highest point of their season in Brazil, where Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly managed to secure P2 and P3 respectively.
For the race in Las Vegas, they only brought a new front corner surface to further improve the airflow around the brake drum area, improve interaction with the front suspension, and better build quality.

Sauber also brought a major upgrade package to the Las Vegas GP. Most of their parts were for the floor of the car, which improved airflow and rearranged the air vortices. They are currently last in the championship and have not scored a single point.
Haas
- Floor Body (Performance)
The Haas F1 team only brought a new floor body with an expanded rear part of the floor to improve the underbody airflow by bringing the car slightly lower to the ground.
