F1 will host the second edition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend to start the final triple header of the 2024 season. The race in the 'entertainment capital' of the world has been a marquee event of the sport since its debut on the grid last year.
Along with its controversies throughout the weekend in 2023, the night race also produced some breathtaking action, with Max Verstappen winning the inaugural event. In 2024, the Red Bull driver will have an opportunity to secure his fourth consecutive title, as he holds a 62-point gap in the championship over Lando Norris.
The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix could also be a pivotal weekend in determining the Constructor's Championship, given the dangers of a street circuit with cold temperatures and a low-grip track. The conditions are predicted to be similar to last year, with drivers struggling to generate heat in the tires.

Haas F1 team principal gives his take on the "unique" Las Vegas Grand Prix
Haas F1 team principal Ayao Komatsu stated that the Las Vegas Grand Prix presented a "unique challenge" for the F1 teams given the cold temperatures and low downforce levels of the cars.
As per Pitpass, the Japanese previewed the 2024 edition of the race and said:
"The Las Vegas Grand Prix offers a very unique challenge for various reasons. Similar to Baku, it's a street circuit with low-speed corners and a very long straight. What is very different from Baku is the temperature.
"It's pretty cold, hence it's challenging to manage tires in particular. Last year saw multiple incidents in Vegas, so we need to stay sharp and take every opportunity we get to score points."
Haas F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg too mentioned that he was "looking forward" to racing in the Las Vegas Grand Prix and added:
"We're about to enter the last three races and of course, we want to regain P6 in the Constructors' Championship to finish this season on a high. The first stop, Las Vegas, is truly a unique track with a backdrop that can't be beaten, it's a very different vibe for F1. I am looking forward to this weekend and I'm going to be putting it all on red this time around."
Haas F1 is currently three points behind the Alpine in the Constructors Championship on 46 points and could regain P6 if they score a good hole of points in Las Vegas this weekend.
