Alpine unveil Deadpool and Wolverine special livery for the F1 Belgian GP

Alpine have revealed a special livery for the 2024 F1 Belgian GP. The livery is inspired by the upcoming superhero film, Deadpool and Wolverine.

While the French team's official colors are blue, black and pink, they will be adorned in red black and yellow for the race at Spa. The special livery will only be used by the team at the Belgian GP, as a way to celebrate the film's release during the race weekend.

The livery is mostly black, with a special design depicting that black paper is torn to reveal the red color. Furthermore, the engine cover has a yellow claw mark on it, a nod to the Wolverine. Alpine have paid attention to detail on the livery, as even the wheel covers have the iconic Deadpool logo with Wolverine's claw mark.

It's worth noting that Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds, is part of a group of investors who support the Enstone-based team with €200 million. Esteban Ocon has frequently talked about how he's a massive fan of superhero franchises like Marvel and DC. Hence, this livery could fit well with the driver's interests.

Deadpool and Wolverine have been released in several nations and will soon be released in the United States on July 26, 2024. It's produced by Marvel with a $200 million budget.

When Alpine's Esteban Ocon and Ryan Reynolds collaborated in a hilarious mini-skit

In 2023, Alpine driver Esteban Ocon met Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds to showcase his special Deadpool helmet ahead of the Las Vegas GP. The clip of the meeting was shared by the driver on X.

In the video, which was essentially a mini-skit, Ocon met Reynolds and presented the striking red Deadpool helmet he would be using during the Las Vegas GP. The Hollywood actor was astonished by how the helmet looked, but he looked embarrassed, as he hadn't brought anything for the Alpine driver.

"I didn't bring you anything, but I did...I do have one thing, though. Here you go," Reynolds said.

The Deadpool actor pulled a pink bracelet from his hand and gave it to Esteban Ocon, who ilariously noticed that it had the word 'daddy' written on it.

"It says 'Daddy' on it?" the French driver said.

Despite the funny moment, both acted awkwardly and went on with the mini-skit. Ryan Reynolds said that the word 'daddy' is just a metaphor and that Esteban Ocon should wear the bracelet during the race.

"Yes, it says 'Daddy', but that's just a...just a metaphor!" Reynolds said.

Ocon had a good race at the 2023 Las Vegas GP, securing the P4 position. In the 2024 F1, though, his team has been struggling. He's in 18th place in the drivers' championship table with only three points.
