Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc picked Timothée Chalamet to play him in any movie that seeks to depict the racer. The Monegasque was asked to name such an actor by a kid in the paddock during the 2024 F1 British GP.
Leclerc is one of the most famous F1 drivers in the world. He has millions of followers around the globe and is also backed by the massive crowd of Tifosi since he drives for Ferrari. While F1 drivers are best at tearing tarmac at eye-watering speeds, many have also chosen movie stars to act as them in a feature.
Fittingly, while walking in the Silverstone paddock during the British GP, Charles Leclerc met a young fan who asked Leclerc to choose an actor who would play him in a movie. The Ferrari driver thought for a second and then picked $25,000,000-worth Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet.
In a recent interview with SportBible before the British GP, Charles Leclerc was once again asked the same question. SportBible presenter Maz Mirzadeh asked the Ferrari driver who could play him in a movie. To this, Leclerc replied:
"There are two people that come [up] quite often on social media. I mean, the people that looks like me... Timothée Chalamet and Noah Schnapp."
Timothée Chalamet has acted in films such as Dune, Wonka, Call Me by Your Name and Little Women. Noah Schnapp has famously acted in the web series Stranger Things and in the films Bridge of Spies and The Peanuts Movie.
Charles Leclerc had a dull outlook after a poor British GP performance
Charles Leclerc talked about issues that Ferrari is currently facing after a poor race weekend at the British GP. The Monegasque only managed to qualify for P11 and ended the race in P14 after struggling with the changing weather conditions and poor pitstop strategy.
Speaking to F1.com, he said that his team needs to assess all the issues and choose a better direction to head for. He admitted that the SF-24 is extremely slow compared to other top teams like Red Bull, McLaren and Mercedes.
"We are just really slow at the moment. We have a lot of inconsistencies with the car. We are just trying to assess the situation. We are trying to understand which is the right direction we need to push. I felt like yesterday by splitting the cars we understood a good amount to use for the future. However that means you don't optimize your whole weekend as you are focused just trying to learn," Leclerc said.
"So, at the moment, we are just struggling with the situation we are in and hope we can bounce back as soon as possible," he concluded.
After the British GP, Charles Leclerc continues in third place in the drivers' championship with 150 points.
