Charles Leclerc's sponsor Bell Racing has secured victories in the three most respectable events in motorsport in 2024. With the Monaco GP, the Indy 500, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the sponsor completed the sport's Triple Crown.
The aforementioned races from three different categories of motorsport usually take place around the end of May or the start of June every year. While the Triple Crown is a celebrated achievement, there is no official trophy to commemorate it.
During race weekends, Leclerc's helmets 'proudly' showcase Bell's branding, as Bell Racing has strong ties with Ferrari, and therefore with Charles Leclerc. Over the years, the Monegasque revealed multiple special edition helmets in collaboration with Bell Racing Helmets.
Besides Leclerc's remarkable Monaco GP win at the Principality and partnership with Bell, they also have ties with Team Penske and Ferrari AF Corse. Team Penske's Josef Newgarden claimed the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana on May 26 this year.
On the other hand, Ferrari won the 92nd edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans held from June 15 to June 16 this year at the Circuit de Le Sarthe in France. Ferrari AF Corse won the race in the Hypercar category with Nicklas Nielsen, Miguel Molina and Antonio Fucco.
Charles Leclerc's emotional Monaco GP win
Charles Leclerc's Monaco GP win in the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix marked an important occasion for the driver as well as Ferrari. With the victory at the Principality, the Monegasque delivered Ferrari's second win of the season and established themselves as a force to reckon with this season.
After claiming the pole on Saturday, Leclerc won the race ahead of McLaren's Oscar Piastri and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz. This was one of the rare races where the top ten drivers remained unchanged from Saturday to Sunday.
"No words can explain that [the win]. It’s such a difficult race," said Leclerc in a post-race interview. "The fact that twice I have been starting on pole and we couldn’t quite make it makes it even better in a way. It means a lot. It is the race that made me dream of becoming an F1 driver."
"Seeing so many of my friends on the balcony, so many people I know. It means a huge amount to me. I must say I was thinking about my dad,” Leclerc said of his late father. “It was a dream of ours for me to race here and win, so it’s unbelievable.”
The win in Monaco was a major milestone for Charles Leclerc, as the Ferrari driver managed to win his home race after years of struggle and finally broke the Monaco curse.
