In a disastrous turn of events, Ferrari and Charles Leclerc are set to start at the end of the grid in the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Fans reacted to the Qualifying horror for the Monegasque racing driver in the second session due to a track limit violation on social media.

With a difference of just 21 points ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Ferrari was looking forward to a close battle for the constructor championship with McLaren. The Italian squad was likely aiming for competitive results from Leclerc and Sainz in the final Qualifying of the 2024 season to keep the gap close to its British rival in the Papaya Orange outfit.

However, Ferrari's hopes of winning the constructor crown were hit hard by a 10-place grid penalty for Leclerc for exceeding two energy stores (battery unit) limit this season during the first Free Practice (FP1) session. Adding to the woes was Leclerc's lap time being deleted in the second Qualifying (Q2) session, thereby pushing the 27-year-old Formula 1 racer to the tail end of the grid for the final race.

The news of Leclerc's Q2 exit was shared on X by ESPN F1. Here's a look at the post:

"CHARLES LECLERC IS ELIMINATED IN Q2 AFTER HAVING HIS TRACK TIME DELETED 😳He will start in last place in Abu Dhabi due to his 10-place grid penalty 😨"

This resulted in fans reacting to Charles Leclerc and Ferrari's plight ahead of the final race. Take a look at a few reactions to the post:

"Millimeters in turn 1. The penalty was already going to be hard for him this weekend. This is disastrous. This surely seals the deal for the constructors."
"Just barely wide! Unfortunate results for Ferrari"
"That’s terrible… he’ll put on a hell of a drive tomorrow 🫡" a fan said in an assertive tone.
"This brutal fr" another fan reacted.
"F *** FIA with their track limit rule." a fan commented, criticizing FIA.
"There is no end with this man bad luck" another fan replied.

Leclerc will likely be looking forward to a strong recovery drive in the race on Sunday, December 8th to provide Ferrari a chance at the constructors title.
