Former F1 driver and pundit Martin Brundle expressed his anger against billionaire Elon Musk for his handling of the social media platform X, ever since he took over a couple of years back. The South African, worth $425B (as per Forbes), is the founder of several companies like SpaceX, Tesla, and Open AI, acquired Twitter in late 2022 and made drastic changes to the social media platform.
The eccentric 53-year-old made radical changes to the culture and usage of the platform, which did not sit well with many of its users. His opinions and views on several issues and his influence on the current zeitgeist have also irked many.
On his X, Martin Brundle too addressed his displeasure over Elon Musk's views as he mentioned that he was "conflicted", saying:
"I’m conflicted. I like Twitter/X and it has served F1, Sky, me, and the people around me, very well for a good while. But Elon Musk is such a daily globally interfering d**k I feel the need to go somewhere else."
After getting some strong reactions to his post, the F1 veteran decided to stick with the platform, adding:
"I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the diversity to my last post, including the negativity. That’s what keeps you alive and motivated and in touch. I’ll stick with Twitter/X and keep my mind open. Opinions are like noses, everybody’s got one and they all count."
F1 pundit gives his honest take on Lewis Hamilton's chances in Ferrari
Sky Sports pundit Martin Brundle stated that after the season finale in Abu Dhabi last month he believed Lewis Hamilton's "absolute peak" was behind him.
As per PlanetF1, the British legend gave his straight views on the 40-year-old's prospects in Ferrari in 2025, saying after the Abu Dhabi GP:
“Plenty of people [are saying], ‘Is Lewis over the hill?’ Is his peak ahead of him or behind him? His absolute peak might be behind him as he turns 40 in January. But, 98 percent of Lewis Hamilton in a race-winning Ferrari will win races and maybe, you know, he’ll get some new energy there as well.
“So he showed today that there’s still a lot to come from Lewis Hamilton at the wheel of a Formula 1 car.”
The seven-time world champion finished the race in Yas Marina in P4 after starting in P15 and overtook his ex-Mercedes teammate George Russell on the last lap.
Lewis Hamilton moved to Ferrari in 2025 on a multi-year deal as he left Mercedes after a record-breaking 12-year tenure at the end of the 2024 season. The F1 legend will partner alongside Charles Leclerc, at least until the end of the 2026 season in his bid to get a record-breaking eight world championships to his name.
