Helmut Marko has heaped praise on Formula 3 sensation Arvid Lindblad. The 16-year-old, who is currently competing with Prema Racing, is a part of the Red Bull Junior team and has been in scintillating form of late.

Lindblad was in the news recently following his excellent showing at Silverstone in Formula 3. The young Briton won the Sprint race and then went on to win the Feature Race later that weekend.

He is currently in P2 in the Formula 3 Drivers' Championship with 113 points to his name, six points behind leader Gabriele Mini. The win at Silverstone was Lindblad's second of the season following his victory at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in June.

"Lindblad shone in Formula 3, having stepped up directly from Formula 4 to Formula 3 as a rookie and winning both races. He is only 16-years-old and we are delighted that you can now drive Formula 1 again at 17," Helmut Marko said in his column with SpeedWeek.

The Red Bull taskmaster's praise for Lindblad has come in the nick of time, just when the F1 world has doubts over Red Bull's second driver for next season. While Sergio Perez has a contract with the reigning F1 champions, his lackluster recent performances could put his future in doubt.

The 81-year-old praised the Briton amid his push to bring young talents into the realm of Formula 1. As F1 goes into its summer break after the next two races, Helmut Marko revealed that Red Bull are going to evaluate their young talents over their F1 potential.

Helmut Marko has always been an advocate for young talents in Formula 1. He is the man behind the rise of the likes of Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz, Yuki Tsunoda, and several others in Formula 1, and Isack Hadjar has now seemingly grabbed his attention.

Hadjar currently competes in Formula 2 with the Campos Racing team, and is also a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. Following his F2 Feature Race victory at Silverstone recently, he overtook Paul Aron to become the leader in the championship standings.

"Hadjar took the lead in the F2 standings with his victory in the feature at Silverstone, we mustn't forget that he was unlucky several times, there was the engine failure, then the reserve engine that didn't work."
"Then the two fuel supply failures and twice he was also spun out through no fault of his own. Otherwise, he would have been miles ahead in the championship," Marko added.

Arvid Lindblad and Isack Hadjar's names come alongside Liam Lawson, who was mighty impressive during his cameo for RB (formerly Alpha Tauri) during the 2023 season. With three talents lined up, it will be interesting to see if Red Bull allow a young talent into their F1 program any time soon.
