Since he departed the Visa Cash App RB team after the 2024 Singapore GP, Daniel Ricciardo has been quiet. The eight-time Grand Prix winner hasn't posted anything on social media apart from snippets from the Singapore GP. However, he did make a recent short appearance in Adam Cianciarulo's Instagram post along with a cryptic quote.

Cianciarulo, a former motocross driver, uploaded a few images from his recent outing in California. One of the photos showed Ricciardo and Corey Wilson alongside him.

Ricciardo is between Cianciarulo and Wilson in the picture. In it, he donned a cap with a quote that read:

"I'm retired, having a good time is my job"

The Australian driver is yet to reveal the next step of his career. Whether he is getting ready to race in other racing series or waiting for an F1 return and possible redemption, only time will tell.

As things stand, Ricciardo is in the United States spending time with his friends. As he finds himself away from the hustle and bustle of F1, he went biking in the mountains around Santa Barbara, California, as seen in another post shared by Cianciarulo last week.

Daniel Ricciardo's departure from Visa Cash App RB could reportedly land the Red Bull fraternity in financial jeopardy. Ricciardo helped RB fetch a $35 million-a-year sponsorship from Visa and Cash App earlier this year. However, with Ricciardo gone, the deal could have significant implications according to news.com.au.

Ricciardo's marketability in the United States and all over the world skyrocketed after he played large parts in Netflix's F1-focused docu-series Drive to Survive, which continued even after he no longer had prime performances on the track.

According to the report, the Aussie driver was one of the reasons for the sponsors to come on board the team and they thoroughly backed the Australian driver.

However, Red Bull boss Christian Horner said there was a plan to keep Ricciardo on the team. Speaking on the F1 Nation podcast, Horner said (via news.com.au):

"I hope he stays around the sport and we’ve made it very clear that we want him to remain in an ambassadorial capacity with the team."

Confirming that they offered an ambassadorial role to the Aussie, Helmut Marko said on the Formula1.de YouTube channel (via news.com.au):

"He is one of the most popular Formula 1 drivers, especially in the USA.”

The Australian driver has yet to comment on the role. Red Bull brought in Liam Lawson as the Aussie's replacement.

Daniel Ricciardo has 257 race starts to his name, including eight wins, 32 podiums, three pole positions, and 1329 career points.
