Franco Colapinto is all set to take part in the upcoming 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix in Nevada next weekend. After a disastrous outing in Brazil, the Williams driver will be looking for redemption in Las Vegas.
Colapinto was involved in two consecutive crashes at Interlagos: one during qualifying on Saturday and another during the race on Sunday. His crashes reportedly cost his team a whopping $1.6 million.
The Argentine driver has picked up five points this season in six races and two Sprints.
Williams also faced significant setbacks after Alex Albon crashed during qualifying, preventing them from fielding his car for the race. In essence, Williams and Franco Colapinto must deliver a strong performance in Las Vegas to avoid slipping into the second-last position in the Constructors' Championship.
