Lewis Hamilton was recently seen arriving in Turkey with his family for a holiday after the 2024 F1 Belgian GP. The seven-time world champion chose the Middle Eastern country to spend his time away from F1 during the three-week summer holiday in August.

Hamilton's on-track performance has drastically improved in the middle half of the 2024 F1 season. At first, the seven-time world champion and Mercedes struggled to keep up with other top teams and drivers. In the European leg of races, however, they bounced back and started bagging podiums and race wins.

Lewis Hamilton himself bagged his first win after 945 days at his home race, the British GP. He then clinched another race victory in Belgium after his teammate, George Russell was disqualified from the top step due to his underweight car. Hamilton heads into the summer break with two race wins and four podium finishes.

A few days after the Belgian GP, several pictures surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) where Lewis Hamilton was spotted in Turkey. He was seen getting out of a helicopter and sitting on a yacht with his family members. He was wearing a black bucket hat with black shades and a black and white hoodie.

Below are a few pictures of the seven-time world champion enjoying his time away from the track at the start of the summer break:

A video also surfaced on X where Hamilton's helicopter was seen landing on an airport and him getting out of it and walking towards a private jet.

Lewis Hamilton expresses his mixed feelings after winning Belgian GP after George Russell's disqualification

Lewis Hamilton learned that he won the Belgian GP a few hours after the race ended. This was because race-winner George Russell was disqualified from the Grand Prix for his Mercedes W15 being underweight by 1.5 kilos.

Speaking to F1.com, Lewis Hamilton expressed that he had mixed feelings after inheriting the race win in Belgium. He was happy with the win but felt bad for his teammate as well. He also pointed out how Mercedes lost on a 1-2 finish.

"Mixed feelings for today’s result. Obviously happy to get the win but I feel for George and it's disappointing for the team not to get the 1-2," Hamilton said.

On the brighter side, the seven-time world champion said that he and the team were not expecting to be this quick around Spa. He hopes that the team continues this upward trajectory even after the summer break.

"A lot of positives to take from today though. At the start of the weekend, we didn’t expect to be at the front or the pace we had, so it’s great to see just how much progress has been made and that we are in the fight. We take all these positives with us into the break and will come back a stronger team ready to keep the momentum going,” he added.

After the Belgian GP, Lewis Hamilton is in sixth place in the drivers' championship table with 150 points, while George Russell is in eighth place with 116 points.
