Lewis Hamilton recently paid a visit to his NFL co-owned team, the Denver Broncos. He is currently in his third season as a team owner.

In 2022, Hamilton acquired a minor stake in the team, joining the Walter-Penner Family Ownership Group. Since then, he has been an important part of the team. Having an F1 driver as popular as him has also helped the team to gain more public interest and has diverted some Hamilton fans to follow the Broncos as well.

The team posted pictures of Hamilton as he visited them earlier this week. They wrote:

".@LewisHamilton is in the 🏡! He joined Owners Greg Penner & Carrie Walton Penner at today’s practice, and HC Sean Payton had him break down the team huddle. 👏"

Hamilton, who is worth $69 million according to Forbes, makes occasional appearances with the team. During the 2023 F1 off-season in December, he spectated a match wearing one of their retro jerseys. While he invested in the team, this was a challenging time for him in Formula 1.

After losing the previous season's World Championship to Max Verstappen, the 39-year-old returned to the 2022 season determined to reclaim the title. However, Mercedes' struggles with pace led to a prolonged winless streak spanning over two seasons. Recently, Hamilton candidly discussed the toll it took on his mental well-being.

Lewis Hamilton on not winning for two F1 seasons- "It’s been mostly a battle of the mind"

After his win at Saudi Arabia in 2021, Hamilton did not win a race until this season. This was a result of the car that Mercedes created. While his teammate George Russell managed to win one race in 2022, Hamilton did not have the chance to win.

There were many issues with the car's pace, and although their position in the championship was within the top three, Red Bull's dominating machinery made it difficult for them to win.

It wasn't until the British Grand Prix this season that Hamilton won his first race in over two seasons. Reviewing the time he spent without winning, the Briton called it a "battle of the mind."

"It’s been mostly a battle of the mind," Hamilton said. "Keeping yourself sane, trying to pick up new tools. Ultimately, it always comes back to persistence and dedication. Hard work. It always does eventually pay off. I think I learned that life is really about how much pain you can experience and keep going, and how much you can suffer and keep moving forward, you know? And that’s life, right?"
"It’s not how you fall; it’s how you get up. It’s how you continue to apply yourself every single day. It’s how you connect with people that you work with," he added.

After the British GP, Hamilton finished P2 in Belgium, behind his teammate. However, Russell was disqualified from the race because of his underweight car, and Hamilton was promoted as the race winner.
