Daniel Ricciardo returned to Red Bull this season after his contract with McLaren was terminated a year earlier. This is the first time he has been seen in the RBR outfit after 2018 when he first left the team.

He returned to the team as their third driver and has been seen on multiple occasions. A recent video released by Red Bull showed him working alongside the core team members and was stormed by fans, gaining thousands of views within the first couple of hours.

Fans have been hoping to see Daniel Ricciardo racing back on the track with the team. While that hasn't happened yet, this video of him working with the team is the closest they've got to that. Here are some of the best reactions.

"It feels so right to see him in Red Bull colors. Right where he belongs."
"Not only is Daniel a chief of optimism but he is a well being and resilience warrior. The devastating lows fuel his ambition but the smile remains. Race happy again."

Daniel Ricciardo's AlphaTauri rumors washed out by Red Bull advisor

AlphaTauri recruited Nyck de Vries as their driver this year, alongside Yuki Tsunoda, after his impressive performance during the 2022 Italian Grand Prix with Williams as their reserve driver. However, he hasn't been quite as good. He remains to be one of the only two drivers who are still sitting point-less in the standings.

It has been mentioned that Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko has given him the 'yellow card', a warning. It says that if he fails to perform in the next five races, the team will have no other option but to replace him with a different driver. (AlphaTauri is RBR's sister-team).

With this, there were hopes for Daniel Ricciardo to make a return to the seat, and many have been expecting this. However, in recent statements, Marko has revealed that the Australian will not be shifted down from RBR to AlphaTauri. PlanetF1 quoted him:

"If the worst came to the worst, we would fall back on our pool of young talent. We are talking specifically about Liam Lawson and Ayumu Iwasa. Ricciardo is not an issue."

Daniel Ricciardo had mentioned earlier, after parting ways with McLaren, that he would rather sit out this season and start with a strong team in 2024 than settle for a slower team. The season is still long enough, and it would be interesting to see what comes the way for the 33-year-old.
