Lewis Hamilton's former partner Nicole Scherzinger shared her horrifying experience as the LA wildfire caught up near her house recently. While that fire was contained, much of Los Angeles has been suffering from these wildfires and many celebrities have lost their homes on the Hollywood Hills.

Amidst this difficult situation, the firefighting crew has been working tirelessly to try and contain the wildfires. It is assessed that a prolonged drought and the dry winter along with the Santa Ana winds have been the trigger for the wildfires.

Nicole Scherzinger posted a worrying note on her Instagram story as the fires spread. She wrote:

"It is unbelievable what is happening back home in LA, Southern California with these fires. Yesterday, a fire broke out in the Hollywood Hills, just blocks away from my house. Thank God for the incredible LA Fire Department, it was contained. My home is safe but so many in our community have been deeply affected, and the devastation is heartbreaking."

She further prayed for the ones who were deeply impacted and for the firefighters who are working tirelessly.

"Let's pray for LA and California-for those who've lost their homes and the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives. Let's help the helpers.🙏 #PrayforLA

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton dated for seven years before splitting in 2015, shortly after he won his second F1 World Championship a year earlier. That was his first title with Mercedes.

Hamilton would go on to win five more championships with the team as they dominated the grid. However, he is now set to move to Ferrari in search of his eighth World Championship.

Ferrari team boss focused to "turn the page" after Lewis Hamilton's arrival at the team

January 1st, 2025 marked Lewis Hamilton's official entry to Ferrari as his Mercedes contract ended. This has been labeled as a blockbuster move by many and is said to be one of the biggest team swaps in F1's history.

While this would have met with grand celebration for both the team and Hamilton, Ferrari's team principal Frederic Vasseur is more focused on the upcoming racing season. He said:

"Everybody all over the world is excited and for sure, the mechanics are also excited, but because it’s always exciting to have someone who is a seven-times World Champion into the car," Vasseur told Sky F1.
"But I think after the day one, we’ll have to turn this page and to be focused on the job."

Ferrari finished the Constructors' Championship in second place behind McLaren. They lost by a small margin. The team is hoping to build on the momentum and challenge for victories early on in 2025.
