Kelly Piquet decided to hit the gym a day after her partner Max Verstappen claimed his fourth consecutive F1 title at the recently concluded Las Vegas Grand Prix. Piquet, who was not present at the paddock to congratulate him on Sunday, however, did it on social media and went back to her usual self on Monday.
Verstappen sealed the title with two race weekends to go as he pulled a gap of 63 points against Lando Norris. In the upcoming races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, only 60 points are available, and as a result, it would no longer be possible for the McLaren driver to contest for the championship.
This was the Dutchman's fourth title in succession, as he touched the former F1 and Red Bull driver, Sebastian Vettel's feat. Vettel claimed four titles with the Austrian team from 2010 to 2013 during his time as a driver.
Furthermore, Verstappen sealing the title in Las Vegas meant he became the third driver to secure his championship in Nevada after Nelson Piquet (Kelly Piquet's father) did it in 1981, followed by Keke Rosberg (Nico Rosberg's father) who did it a year later.
Piquet took to her official Instagram account to share a picture of her in the story. She wrote as she hit the gym:
"Started Monday strong."
Kelly Piquet often stays with Max Verstappen during such events. However, her absence at the Las Vegas GP paddock raised eyebrows. Notably, she was present with Verstappen at all three events earlier.

"4 in a row baby."
The 27-year-old did not need to win the Las Vegas Grand Prix to secure his title on Sunday. He arrived at Nevada with a 62-point lead over title rival Norris, and all he needed was to keep the margin intact.
Verstappen, indeed, kept the margin as he came home in P5, whereas Norris finished the race in P6. The Red Bull driver methodically kept his lead over his McLaren counterpart throughout the season, and it worked out for him ultimately at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
In the Constructors' championship, Verstappen's team, Red Bull, is in a distant third after Sergio Perez failed to help his team throughout the season. They currently have 555 points compared to leader McLaren's 608, followed by Ferrari's 584.
