Alexandra Saint Mleux had quite a sarcastic reaction when she and her partner Charles Leclerc were blamed for not taking proper care of their pet dog, Leo. A user on social media claimed that the couple was using Leo as a "fashion accessory."
Earlier in April, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and his partner Alexandra Saint Mleux adopted a golden retriever puppy called Leo. He introduced his F1 fanbase to the new member of his family, who received a lot of love. Many users commented on how cute and adorable the pet was, and it was seemingly looking good in the care of the couple.
However, an Instagram page recently accused Leclerc and Mleux of not taking proper care of the dog. The allegation stated:
"We write to you with a deep and genuine concern regarding the well-being of Leo, the dog belonging to Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux. Recently, we have witnessed a series of behaviors and situations suggesting that Leo is not receiving the care and attention that any animal deserves."
The statement also alleged that the couple was using Leo as a "fashion accessory" and that he was left alone without care during the Spanish Grand Prix. Here is the complete statement:
Most users on social media found this to be inaccurate, as Leo seems to be in good health. A user, who sounded quite flabbergasted, wrote:
"What the f**k"
In what was an unexpected development, Alexandra Saint Mleux replied to the comment above by stating that Leo had the same reaction:
"Leo's reaction precisely," she wrote.
Without evidence, the truth of the allegations is unclear. However, despite the allegations, Leo appears healthy and well-loved in photos shared by Leclerc and Mleux. Interestingly, the Instagram account that made the accusation has now been deactivated.
How long have Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux been dating?
The couple was seen together for the first time in March of 2023. However, it wasn't until May of that year that Leclerc confirmed their relationship in an interview. Since then, they have regularly been seen together.

Saint Mleux had a remarkable appearance during the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this season, where Charles Leclerc won for the first time. She was also seen in Imola and Canada.
The couple has been frequently spotted on social media, caring for the golden retriever, Leo, ever since they adopted him.
