Lewis Hamilton on taking inspiration from LeBron James

Last year, the veteran Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton, faced questions surrounding his retirement after the team continued to struggle in the ground effect era. Speaking to ESPN, the 39-year-old revealed that he didn't plan on stopping any time soon.

Hamilton also cited legendary athletes Tom Brady and LeBron James' continued success in their respective careers as a motivation for him to continue racing and keep himself in prime physical and mental condition.

"It all depends on how hard I want to work and keep myself in my prime, in terms of physical and mental capability."
"If you look at LeBron [James], if you look at Tom Brady, they have shown that it can be sustained for as long as you are dedicated enough to put the energy and time in."

LeBron James, 39, continues to lead the Los Angeles Lakers franchise in search of his fifth NBA title to further cement himself as one of the greatest basketball players. NFL legend and 7x Superbowl champion, Tom Brady, retired from the sport after his 23rd season at the age of 45.
