Lewis Hamilton once had the opportunity to step into the wrestling ring in Mexico against Mistico, popularly known as his WWE stage name, Sin Cara. After a series of attacks, Hamilton emerged victorious.

The Mercedes driver seemingly has a lot of other interests apart from racing. He is actively invested in clothing and fashion, has diverse tastes in music, and also stepped into the wrestling ring on one occasion. While it was a promotional event ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix, Hamilton showcased surprising athleticism and even managed to defeat his opponent.

Hamilton Irish-whipped Mistico towards the rope after a kick to the crotch and then slammed him down with a body slam. He then pinned him down to the count of three to win the promotional event.

Hamilton was crowned the World Champion of the 2015 F1 season one race before this event. This season also marked the return of the Mexican Grand Prix for the first time since 1992, and hence, the promotional event was crucial for the organizers.

This was Hamilton's third title victory. Although he lost to his teammate Nico Rosberg in the 2016 season, he then went on to win four consecutive championships between 2017 and 2020. He got extremely close to winning his record-breaking eighth title in the 2021 season but lost to Max Verstappen, who won his first.

While Hamilton has had immense success with Mercedes since 2013, this is his final season with the team. He is prepared to move to Ferrari in the 2025 season in what is a blockbuster move.

Lewis Hamilton is set to partner Leclerc in the 2025 season. The latter has been racing with the team since the 2019 season and although one might expect him to have some tips for Hamilton because of the difference between the working of the two teams, Leclerc feels there isn't much that he needs to advise Hamilton on.

"The way of working will be different to Mercedes and this will take a little bit of time to adapt," he told The Guardian. "But we are speaking about Lewis Hamilton, I am pretty sure he does not need advice on that."

He further stated that he is excited to work with the 39-year-old, and expects to have healthy competition with him.

"I am super excited to be working alongside him. To be, yes, learning from him but at the same time it’s such an exciting challenge for me to be in the same car as such a successful driver and to be able to show what I am capable of," he said.
"Both of us will want to beat each other, that’s the way it is in F1, but I’m sure it will be a healthy competition," he added.

Given the Italian crew's current performance, they are expected to be battling for the World Championship in the coming seasons. This would also give Hamilton a chance to fight for his eighth title.
