US presidential candidate Kamala Harris has shared that she loves F1 and supports Lewis Hamilton. She talked fondly about the sport and referred to his upcoming departure from Mercedes to join Ferrari.
In an interview on the Howard Stern Show, Harris was asked about her interest in F1. She shared that her entire family loves to watch the sport and she has been unable to follow it during her presidential campaign, particularly due to different timings.
“It’s so good. We love it, our whole family does,” she said.
When asked if it wasn't just a "campaign thing", she said:
“No, God no. Actually, I haven’t been able to watch it a lot recently because I am campaigning. Also, depending on where they’re driving, the time of day, you’ve got to wake up (accordingly).”
Harris quickly named Hamilton when asked who her favorite driver was. She mentioned that the seven-time world champion was leaving Mercedes and encouraged the host, Howard Stern, to watch the sport.
"Lewis Hamilton of course. He's leaving Mercedes," Harris added.
Hamilton is one of the most popular F1 drivers in the world for many reasons. He is one of the most successful drivers in the sport, with seven driver's world championships and a record-breaking 105 race wins under his belt. Apart from racing, he is also quite famous in fashion and music. He has collaborated with several fashion designers and luxury brands, notably Tommy Hilfiger and Dior.
Hamilton has won two races in the 2024 F1 season and is racing for Mercedes for the last time before he moves to Ferrari in 2025. This will end a 12-year-long relationship between him and the Silver Arrows.

Recent reports have emerged that Lewis Hamilton will not test the Ferrari F1 car right after the 2024 F1 Abu Dhabi GP.
