Lewis Hamilton's pet bulldog Roscoe recently underwent an ultrasound, his trainer shared on social media. His health condition is reported to be fine, however, she resisted giving full details as she did not want to do it before Hamilton did on his social media out of "respect."
Roscoe was recently spotted on social media with shave marks on his body, hinting towards a medical procedure that might have been performed on him. His trainer Kirstin McMillan reacted to the concerns and posted a health update. She said:
"I wanted to pop on and say a lot of you are asking about Roscoe's shave marks on his body. Yes, Roscoe is fine. His health is good. He had an ultrasound for an acute episode that occurred."
She added that Hamilton would post a complete health update on Roscoe's Instagram page and hence she did not want to completely reveal the situation, as a mark of respect.
"Lewis, on Roscoe's page is gonna do an update because I know that historically you guys have always found his whole health journey, Roscoe's whole health journey. Like the whole thing was always public for you guys when I share about other dogs health stuff. I do know you guys get a lot out of it. So on Roscoe's page, Lewis is gonna post an update. I just don't wanna do it on my page before he does it on his out of respect because it's his dog, but he's good. He's okay. Everything's fine."
"A situation occurred. We caught it immediately and he's good. Okay, so we'll update everyone. Don't worry."
Roscoe, being a part of Hamilton's family, gets showered with love from fans. He currently has over a million followers on Instagram, where fans fill his comment section with heartfelt remarks.
Lewis Hamilton invests in vegan-based dog food
It is no surprise that 12-year-old Roscoe's diet is largely vegan and plant-based. He has been taking the diet since 2020 and has reported to show much better health reports and conditions.
Following his footsteps, Lewis Hamilton invested in Bramble earlier this week. The New York-based brand produces vegan-based dog food, formulated by vets. He shared the reason for joining hands with the brand and the differences he noticed with Roscoe.
"Health is really important to me and those same standards apply when it comes to Roscoe. I’ve invested in Bramble because it meets those standards. It’s made from clean ingredients, formulated by veterinary nutritionists, and has the science to back it up. Most importantly Roscoe loves it. His energy levels are higher, his coat is shinier and his skin is healthier. It’s like he’s a puppy again. I hope your dogs love it as much as my boy Roscoe does," Hamilton wrote.
Lewis Hamilton has always been close to Roscoe. He is regularly spotted at the Paddock during Grand Prix weekends, and the Brit shares regular updates on his Instagram page.
