Liverpool FC right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold revealed that his favorite F1 driver is Lewis Hamilton, as he nicknamed his robotic lawnmower "Little Lew." The English defender has previously talked about his love for F1 and racing.
In a recent TikTok video from Liverpool, one of their sponsors gifted Alexander-Arnold a robotic lawnmower. He was then told that people now give their machines a nickname because of their automatic functioning. The fullback then commented that his gift looked more like an F1 car, and claimed that Lewis Hamilton is his favorite driver. He ended up naming his lawnmower "Little Lew."
"Looks like a car, you know! I swear down, it actually does though! It looks like an F1 car, and my favourite driver is Lewis Hamilton, for sure. Little Lew!"
"Hopefully he [Hamilton] doesn't get offended by this, by the way!"
Other than Lewis Hamilton, Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to have his eyes on Alpine's performance. Last year, he became a part of the Apex investment group, who have a stake in the Formula 1 team, thus becoming a co-investor for the same.
Lewis Hamilton reveals why he will not drive for Ferrari at the post-season test in Abu Dhabi
Qatar and Abu Dhabi are the two final rounds left in the 2024 F1 season. After this, the sport will witness a major move as Lewis Hamilton will move to Ferrari, ending his alliance with Mercedes after more than a decade.
He will replace Carlos Sainz in the team who on the other hand will move to Williams Racing. The Spaniard will drive the Williams in a post-season test, however, Hamilton will not be doing the same with Ferrari. He earlier confirmed the same even though team principal Frederic Vasseur wanted him to get behind the wheel of the car.
He explained that he had plans scheduled with Mercedes and his sponsors. Moreover, his contract lasts till 31st December this year and would bind him to seeing out his final duties for his current team. As reported by motorsport.com, Hamilton said:
"Look, I know Fred wanted it to happen. For me, I was in two minds. Driving the red car for the first time in Abu Dhabi does not excite me. In a perfect world, you’d get to drive it and not be seen and do the first rollout next year. When I did raise it, obviously with Toto, they had all these plans that I’ve got to go and see some of the sponsors and say their farewells."
"So I don’t think it was ever going to actually be allowed, even if I’d asked to have done it. But because I’m contracted to the team until December 31st – and that’s totally fine. But it doesn’t bother me, again, because I wasn’t going to do the test. It’s not what I wanted to do. I told Fred that’s not what I wanted to do," he added.
Lewis Hamilton will partner Charles Leclerc at Ferrari in 2025. The latter has been driving with the team since 2019 and currently is on a multi-year contract.
