F1 fans appreciated that the Mercedes AMG Team were still paying their respects to former three-time world champion Niki Lauda on his fourth death anniversary.
The Austrian racing legend was influential in guiding the German team in their initial years and served as a general advisor as they dominated the sport in the Turbo-Hybrid era. Lauda is famously remembered for bringing Lewis Hamilton to the Mercedes team from McLaren in 2023.
Four years after his passing, the former world champions took to social media to mention that Lauda will always be in their hearts, stating:
"Today marks four years since we lost our friend, Niki. Although he may be gone, his spirit is still at the very heart of everything we do."
One fan on Twitter mentioned that he was happy that the German team still remembers Lauda and carries the star for him, writing:
"Niki is still greatly missed and always will be. Love that the Silver Arrows continue to carry his red star."

"Having her eyes is a very, very strong edge to the organization"- Mercedes team boss
Toto Wolff stated that former Red Bull COO and HR director Jayne Poole has been a strong addition to the Mercedes F1 team. He said, as per Autosport:
"Jayne is a person that I admired over the last 10 years, that I got to know 10 years ago, and I always had a very respectful relationship with. She worked for the competitor, but you can respect people working for a competitor and acknowledge their performance. Her role at Red Bull was, in my opinion, a very large part of the success of the team over the last years."
Recalling Poole's appointment, he continued:
"That relationship came to an end like many relationships come to a natural end. I wanted to hire Jayne for a long time but it was just never an option. And then it became now. She's a great addition. She has a lot of know-how, she's a great psychologist, she has seen another organization, she knows everybody pretty much, and she has created forensic profiles of all of the good people in Formula 1."
"Having her eyes is a very, very strong edge to the organization. From time to time, even in a successful organization, you need to parachute good external people in, because they help you to do the next step."
Poole joined Mercedes at the beginning of the 2023 season from their rival Red Bull.
