"Max Verstappen continues to fly with Lando Norris after he ratted him out": Fans react to the duo flying together for the F1 Singapore GP

Several F1 fans reacted to a picture of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris coming out of the same plane emerging on social media ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend. The two championship rivals have maintained their off-track dynamic despite being involved in a title battle on the track this year.

Over the course of the year, the two drivers have had a few tricky situations, including their crash at the Austrian Grand Prix and the McLaren driver seemingly complaining about the Red Bull driver's alleged indiscretion at the end of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last weekend.

Lando Norris reported that Max Verstappen overtook a couple of cars under the VSC period on the final lap and took to his team radio to inform the same. However, despite the stewards noting the incident, the three-time world champion was let go as he didn't do anything wrong given the race was over when he made the reported overtakes.

But it was nice to see that situations like these haven't affected their off-track friendship as they continue to arrive at the track on the same plane as they did in Baku and Singapore. The pair was accompanied by Nico Hulkenberg in Baku while in Singapore, it was Daniel Ricciardo who arrived with them.

F1 fans took to social media to give their reactions to Max Verstappen and Lando Norris arriving on the same plane on X, with one claiming that they were pleased that the Red Bull driver was 'more sensible' than the duo's fanbases on social media, saying:

"Max continues to fly with Lando after he ratted him out....glad he's more sensible than his fanbase :P"

One fan called Verstappen the "nicest dude" in F1 for still flying with Lando Norris.

Bro's literally the nicest dude in the sport for still having Lando fly with him. Imagine if Nico had snitched on Lewis," the fan said.

Another fan called for Max Verstappen to charge Lando Norris for flying with him.

"He should be charging Lando, especially the way he’s been treating Max recently," the fan said.

"I hope they're paying him well otherwise they are no different than freeloaders," said a fan.

"Max going on my nerve like why you fly with that snake?" asked another.

"Jet-pooling" claimed another.

Max Verstappen gives his take on the title battle against Lando Norris

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen stated that he was more focused on getting the RB20 faster in the remaining races and was not mentally consumed by the title fight against Lando Norris.

In his pre-race press conference, the Dutch driver said:

"It's not mentally preparing. I just want to make the car faster and better balanced. If I manage to do that with the team, then I know that we can be very competitive again.

"And that's the only thing that I can do. I mean, there's no secret to that. You know, we just need to find a bit more performance and just make our lives a bit easier." he added.

Max Verstappen currently leads Lando Norris by 59 points in the driver's championship with seven races and three sprints remaining in the 2024 season.
