Max Verstappen and his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, stole the spotlight at Formula E star António Félix da Costa's wedding in Portugal. The couple enjoyed some downtime during Formula 1's three-week hiatus before heading back for the United States Grand Prix.
Former Formula E champion António Félix da Costa married his longtime girlfriend, Inês Castro, in Évora, Portugal. Verstappen attended the wedding with his girlfriend, Kelly, along with the latter's father, Nelson Piquet Jr., a former Formula 1 driver and Formula E champion.
Piquet took to her Instagram stories to share pictures from the wedding reception, where she wore a stunning red outfit while her boyfriend looked sharp in a suit. She also posted moments from the dance floor, featuring her boyfriend and the groom, António Félix da Costa, having a great time.

The 3x Reigning champion will resume his bid for his fourth F1 title this weekend at the United States Grand Prix, scheduled for October 18-20. With six rounds left in the 2024 season, Verstappen leads his nearest championship rival, Lando Norris, by 52 points.
Max Verstappen shuts down "bizarre" rumors about Red Bull performance downturn
Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing have lost ground to McLaren and rivals mid-season, with the defending champions struggling to add performance to the RB20. This decline in competitiveness has fueled speculation about the team potentially using asymmetric braking, although the FIA has confirmed that no teams are employing this solution.
The Dutchman hit back at critics in a recent interview with motorsport.com; he found such speculations bizarre and insisted he doesn't pay heed to such rumors. The Red Bull driver said:
"People always come up with different stuff. I find it really bizarre how they come up with some of these things, but it is what it is. It's part of the game, but I usually just let it go."
"I've been in F1 for 10 years now and I'm not wasting time on all those stories. I mean, I barely read anything about F1 anyway. Of course, sometimes I see something or someone else tells me: "Did you see what this and that person said?' But I always say people can think what they want, I'm not going to waste my energy on that. So, I don't really care about what other people say," he added.
Red Bull is expected to introduce an upgrade package at COTA, which will help Verstappen defend his points lead from Lando Norris, who recently clinched a dominant victoryat the Singapore GP.
