Max Verstappen took a hilarious dig at the British media following the conclusion of the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix on Sunday. The Red Bull driver looked at the journalists present at the FIA post-race press conference room and asked the whereabouts of the British press. Verstappen has been at loggerheads with the British media, and following his victory at Interlagos, he pointed a jibe at them.

Sunday's race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace saw a magnificent drive from Max Verstappen. The Dutchman started his race from P17 on the grid and earned the victory with 19 seconds to spare. With this, he also claimed the Driver of the Day and picked up the extra point with the fastest lap.

Verstappen was sitting with Alpine duo Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly at the press conference, and this was when he asked about the British press.

Here's what he said:

"I appreciate you guys being here, but I don’t see any British media? Did they have to go to the airport already? Or do they not know where the press conference is…?"

Following this, the journalists, as well as drivers present there laughed out loud. As the video of the incident surfaced on social media, fans began to react to it.

Here are some reactions taken from micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter):

A fan wrote, "Max just cooked those British pundits so hard."
"Cook them frauds," wrote another fan, reiterating the same.
Another fan wrote on an extreme note, "Tbh im just glad those cockroaches went hiding already."
"They are still crying, they can’t digest your win Max," wrote a fan.
Another fan wrote on the same line, "Holy s**t he’s cooked them.
Another fan used the popular saying after Verstappen's dig, "Let him cook."

The Red Bull star's complaints against 'British bias' are well known, and it seemed that the three-time world champion did not want to leave the chance to take the dig.

After a poor Qualifying earlier on Sunday, the Red Bull driver was out in Q2. As Max Verstappen was starting the race from P17, he said he was not expecting the victory. However, a brilliant comeback handed him the race win.

Here's what Verstappen said during his post-race interview:

"Honestly, I was very frustrated with qualifying, but... try to just use it as a good motivation in the race. Luckily, we had a great start, and from there onwards, we had a very good feeling in the car. We stayed calm, executed when we needed to, and stayed calm."
"Incredibly happy with today. I never expected to go from P17 to P1. I was expecting points, but this is absolutely crazy."

Prior to Verstappen's victory in Brazil, he hadn't won since the Spanish GP in June this year. With this, he now has eight wins this season.
