F1 fans were left raging as Red Bull driver Max Verstappen had a pretty disappointing qualifying session at the Italian Grand Prix on Saturday. Heading into an all-important qualifying session, it was nip and tuck between the top four teams as all eight drivers were in contention for pole position.

But the situation on the track turned out to be very different from the practice sessions, as the Red Bull did not look hooked up in terms of its balance. Both Verstappen and his teammate Sergio Perez finished P7 and P8 and half a second behind the second Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton, who finished in P6 and were nowhere close to the battle for pole position.

The Austrian team on their social media platform posted the results and claimed it was a disappointing session for them.

F1 fans took to social media to give their reactions to Red Bull's post and qualifying on X, with one fan claiming that Max Verstappen needed to leave the team, saying:

"The car you built is shit, Max needs to leave this team!"
"WHERE ARE THE UPGRADES DON’T PISS ME OFF."

Here are some more reactions:

"Forget the constructors with this tractor, championship is up for grabs too now. Horrible team performance, Horner sure messed the team up," they wrote.
"This is not good, sound the alarm," a fan pointed out.
"Checo saved Max," claimed another.
"Get Max to Mercedes asap," wrote another.

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen stated that RB20 was very difficult to drive as he experienced a lot of understeer during the qualifying session at the Italian GP, where he finished P7.

Speaking with Sky Sports, the three-time world champion said:

"The car is very difficult to drive and find a good balance. If you have one issue and try to fix that, then there is another issue. It's not very driveable, let's put it like that. Q2 was not too bad Q3 felt very bad again - I had a lot of understeer on both tires.
"I lost a lot of lap time, I couldn't really push the tires, so struggling a lot with that for a reason I can't understand. The long runs were not very promising. When you are not balanced, everything becomes difficult in the race. The last few races have not been great so we need to turn it around and be competitive."

With Lando Norris starting in pole position, Max Verstappen could lose a lot of points in the championship battle if he fails to make any progress in the main race on Sunday.
