Reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen's sister Victoria has pledged her support for Palestine in the ongoing conflict with Israel in the Middle East.

Both states have been embroiled in conflict over the past months, with Israel recently launching an airstrike over the Gazan city of Rafah. According to Reuters, the recent airstrike triggered a fire that has reportedly killed 45 people in a tent camp.

Max Verstappen has not made any comments on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. However, his partner Kelly Piquet had been vocal about the conflict and advocated for peace. After the conflict broke out, she penned an emotional note in late October 2023 on her Instagram story, highlighting the suffering of the young Palestinian children in Gaza:

"I can't stop thinking about all pain, suffering, mourning, trauma, shock, despair that the Palestinians in Gaza are living through right now. To imagine all the young innocent souls that have been lost, entire families wiped out, parent-less children, and parents who've had to hug their dead children."

Piquet also shared her thoughts about the innocent hostages held captive by Hamas:

"I'm also thinking about the hostages that are in the hands of Hamas, and thankful to see that four of them have now been safely released. But the images and videos I am witnessing daily from the horror happening in Gaza is beyond comprehension."

Max Verstappen's partner also disclosed that she had been receiving death threats in her DMs after sharing her thoughts. She declared that she was advocating for peace, love, and freedom.
